Intelligent Contact Article

New data security article by me for LBM's Industry News letter. The article goes into a few steps to take to make sure that your company's data is secure when dealing with outsourcers. It is primarily aimed at contact centre outsourcing, but most of the advice applies anytime data is sent to a third party for processing or fulfillment.

Your customer’s data is one of your company’s most valuable assets. Protect it while you take advantage of outsourcing.

Outsourcers have the flexibility to respond quickly to changing demands and can be up and running quickly without the headaches involved taking on tricky work in house. The economies of scale available to outsourcers allow them to offer specialist services in a way which wouldn’t be possible for a small operation and mean that they should have experience with all sizes of organisation. Making sure that your data is treated correctly amongst all the data the outsourcer handles can get technical, but is a useful process to go through. It will give the outsourcer a chance to either impress you with their competence or reveal cracks in their organization which would not be obvious from the brochures and sales presentations.
